You are cordially invited to join\u00a0students, faculty, staff and the community of the University of Maryland in delving deeply into\u00a0The Triumph of Isabella<\/i>\u00a0FREE immersive experience, multimedia talk,\u00a0and exhibit.\u00a0 This performance and scholarship\u00a0exhibition has been brought to you by the School of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies’ International Program for Creative Collaboration\u00a0and Research (IPCCR)\u00a0and is an inaugural event to celebrate this program and the international\u00a0collaborations\u00a0it has generated with\u00a0the Victoria & Albert Museum, London,\u00a0The Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium, Brussels,\u00a0the University of Warwick,\u00a0Coventry and a large number of other partners.<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center\u00a0<\/u>(The events start in the The Gildenhorn Recital Hall, will move to the Grand Pavilion, and end in the Dance Theatre.<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0An exciting, informative\u00a0multimedia\u00a0talk\u00a0by Dr. Susan Haedicke (University of Warwick, Coventry) on the\u00a0spectacle\u00a0of street performance entitled\u00a0“From the Infanta’s Triumph to the Sultan’s Elephant;”<\/i><\/i><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0Live performances\u00a0in the Grand Foyer\u00a0inspired by\u00a0a set of iconic 17th century paintings;<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0An interactive exhibit of the\u00a0Triumph of Isabella<\/i>\u00a0paintings\u00a0in the Michelle Smith Performing Arts Center;<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0An immersive, projected,\u00a0sight and sound\u00a0experience that takes you to the live “Ommegang” street experience\u00a0of\u00a01615\u00a0Brussels.<\/p>\n
